AIU’s Online Bachelor’s Degree in IT is designed to provide students with real-world knowledge that can be applicable to many industries.
The BSIT concentration in Information Assurance and Security is designed to help students learn about the types of IT security used today as well as the practices that should be in place to ensure security works. In this curriculum students can gain the knowledge and skills common to IT professionals developing a security policy.
We can help you learn how to:
- Apply knowledge of computing and mathematics appropriate to IT disciplines
- Employ techniques, tools, best practices and standards necessary for computing practice
- Create a set of user requirements utilizing methodologies appropriate for the IT discipline for the purposes of selecting, creating, evaluating, and administering computer-based system processes, components, or programs
- Develop computer-based and integrated IT solutions that combine stated requirements with analytical results of problems, designs, and implementations
- Analyze the professional, ethical, legal, security and social implications of computing environments on individuals, organizations, and society in both local and global settings
- Work effectively on teams to accomplish a common goal including the creation of an effective project plan
- Explain the value and need for continuous professional development in IT disciplines
